Stirring Waters is a waterpark designed by therapists and aquatic professionals to provide thrilling experiences for people with all disabilities. No longer will they need to just sit on the deck. In the Stirring Waters waterpark people from the entire globe will experience joy, fun and laughter – possibly for the first time in their life. Stirring Waters helps people with disabilities off the deck and into the fun!
The idea of Stirring Waters began when Bill Redmon, the former Executive Director of Lake Aurora Christian Camp and Retreat Center, began helping some camps who were serving people with disabilities. Advance Center for Ministry Training exists primarily to train men to preach. This is accomplished both internally and externally. Internally we will teach the students material that will assist them in developing the necessary skills to lead a church in an “Acts Model” of church growth. Classes will be taught through traditional classroom setting and with on-line classes. We will assist these ministers with hands-on experience in ministry. Students who desire a completion of ministry training certificate will partner with Kissimmee Christian Church in their intercultural outreach ministries as well as the churches community outreach programs and Christian School. Students may perform their internship at any Christian church that meets the criteria of “Advance” as a lab ministry church. This will allow each graduate the opportunity to get hands on education along with strong, sound teaching from some of the best minds in our brotherhood. The cost for this two year program is extremely affordable. We will also offer two other tracks of ministry training. A plan for men who desire to be better trained associate ministers and one for women who desire to learn the scriptures more deeply called a Sacred Literature track. Family Ministries of Florida
Since 1976 Family Ministries of Florida has provided a safe family environment for children who for one reason or another cannot live with their parents. Christian couples serve as House parents. The House parents provide nurturing and structure for the boys and girls that live in their homes. The family has a daily devotion time together, and each child is encouraged to have their own personal devotion time. Along with individual and group devotions the families are very involved with our local church.
